Description

Vermox (Mebendazole) is an anthelmintic or anti-worm medication. It struggles with helminthes and worms which penetrated in your body, it also prevents from growing or multiplying new larvae in your body. It is used in treatment of infections caused by pinworm, whipworm, hookworm and roundworm

Indication for use

Vermox (Mebendazole) can be taken by almost all adults and children over 2 who have:

·        enterobiosis;

·        ascariasis;

·        trichocephalosis;

·        hookworm;

·        strongyloidosis;

·        teniosis;

·        mixed helminthiases

Precautions

Vermox (Mebendazole)  is not recommended to use if you: have had an experience of allergic reaction to Mebendazole;  have increased individual sensitivity to some of components; have ulcerative colitis; have Crohn's disease; have hepatic and / or renal failure; have period of lactation or you are pregnant.

Dose and usage

Dose of Vermox (Mebendazole): 100 mg tablets

Before taking this medication consult with your attending physician.

In case of   enterobiasis, adults and children over the age of 2 years, regardless of body weight and age, are prescribed 1 tablet (100 mg) of Vermox once a day. To avoid recurrence of the disease, it is recommended to repeat taking Vermox in the same dose after two and four weeks.

In case of ascariasis, trichocephalosis, hookworm or mixed helminthiases, adults and children over 2 years old, regardless of body weight and age, are prescribed 1 tablet (100 mg) 2 times a day, one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening, for three days.

In case of tenosis and strongyloidosis, adults are prescribed 2 tablets in the morning and evening (400 mg / day) for three consecutive days; children over the age of 2 years are prescribed 1 tablet in the morning and evening (200 mg / day) for three consecutive days.

Vermox tablets can be chewed or swallowed with plenty of water. For young children, the tablet can be crushed before use.
